New Year Resolutions

Simply put new year resolutions are things we try to change about ourselves at the start of the year.

A lot of people make many resolutions which they do not keep.

According to a survey, 40 to 45 percent of American adults make one or more resolutions each year. The top New Year’s resolutions include weight loss, exercise, quitting smoking and better money management. By the second week of January, 25 percent of people have abandoned their resolutions.

The problem with new year resolutions is keeping them, a lot of people have so many unrealistic expectations for every new year.

Here are some steps to keeping New Year Resolutions:

  1. Start With Small Steps — The Human Brain isn’t built to multi task so take all your resolutions slowly. Slow and Steady wins the race.
  2. Be realistic and have a specific goal — So many people have up to 10 Resolutions each new year but I insist that having about only 2 will produce results. Realism is another problem people face they have these absurd targets which are almost impossible to attain. Start simple and gain momentum.
  3. Reward Yourself — In order to gain momentum and keep going you need to reward yourself at every milestone you hit when keeping your resolutions.

Examples of New Year Resolutions:

a. Read more books

b. Create a cleaning schedule you’ll stick to.

c. Eat veggies regularly.

d. Take more walks

e. Learn a new Skill

It’s a new year enjoy it and become a better person.
